At Miles Wine Cellars you will find a happy staff that will remind you more of family than employees, which is just how we feel about each other. We are frequent guests at each others homes, dine together, watch each others kids, in short, we don’t just work together we truly enjoy each others company. How great is that?!

Doug Miles – Our owner and fearless leader, Doug is a noted viticulturist, winning Grower of the Year in 2000 from the New York Wine & Grape Foundation. Of course, Doug considers that award Grower of the Millennium since it reads 2000. He has been growing grapes since 1978 and is known throughout the industry as a hardworking and fun loving guy.

Suzy Hayes – You’ll find Suzy managing the tasting room and fixing meals for the staff. The recipes you’ll find on this web page are all meals she has tested on our courageous employees. She is a very important part of the “family”, as without her we would surely fall apart.

Aimee Krofssik – Aimee is our Wholesale Accounts Manager. She is our direct connection to our retailers. When you ask to have our wines in your favorite liquor store, she is the one who follows up on that request. She also serves as our Special Events Coordinator. Thinking of getting married or renewing your vows in one of the most romantic spots in the Finger Lakes? Call on Aimee. She is happy to book your date here and help with all the necessary arrangements.

Henry Pouliot – Henry is our indispensable, all around very helpful Mr. Reliable. He pours wine, mows lawn, waxes Cabernet bottles, delivers grapes and keeps us on our toes. He is our tall, quiet, redheaded, gentle giant.

Tom Swarthout – Our Tommy keeps our auxiliary and outdoor tastings running smoothly. He is a fountain of knowledge about our beautiful Finger Lakes and is always at the ready with any project we might be starting. He is noted for exclaiming “You know I’ve been thinking...” several times each weekend. You will see the results of his great ideas all over the farm!

Evan Miles – Evan is our tall, lanky ambassador. He is comfortable talking to anyone about nearly anything, but his specialties are wine, snowboarding, wakeboarding and hot sauces. He is studying cool climate oenology and viticulture (in layman terms that means winemaking and grape growing) during the school year and spends his summers apprenticing under our winemaker, pouring wine for us and lifeguarding at a local park.

Andrea Ritzler – Andi does it all. She bakes cookies, pours wine, tends the flowers and balances the cash and does it all with a great attitude and a very quirky sense of humor. What a woman. She is a full time college student studying occupational therapy, but spends almost all her "spare" time with us playing, I mean working.

Kathy Prendergast – Kathy is very knowledgeable about wine, our world and the people in it. She is a retired school teacher and likes to say, "I used to work with little kids, now I work with big kids." She loves to keep busy, so when she's not pouring wine or volunteering for Meals On Wheels, you'll find her chasing after her three very beautiful grandsons.
