In honor of the former First Lady, Barbara Bush, Miles Wine Cellars spotlights Literacy Volunteers of Yates and Ontario County for their Year of Giving Campaign. During the month of May Miles Wine Cellars will donate a portion of their sales to the organization.

Former First Lady Barbara Bush was a tireless advocate of volunteerism, and has helped countless charities and humanitarian causes throughout her years in public life, though her primary focus has been promoting family literacy.

For this reason Miles Wine Cellars has decided to dedicated the month of May to raise funds and awareness to literacy. The Literacy Volunteers of Yates and Ontario County provides adults the literacy skills needed to reach their full potential. These skills skills help adults as individuals, parents, workers and citizens. The successful program uses highly qualified committed tutors geared to each student’s particular learning style. Tutoring sessions are tailored to help individuals and businesses work toward their literacy goals.
